I am researching the descendants of Joseph YATES (1647-1730) of Albany who m. Hubertje Marselis VAN BOMMEL. Successive generations went to New York City, Schenectady, Troy, the Mohawk Valley and across the U.S. Desire to correspond with anyone with a YATES from NY in their family tree. Seeking ancestry of Raymond Francis YATES (1895-1966, Lockport, NY). Father was Charles Henry YATES (1858-1908), Gr-Father was James YATES of Quebec, Canada, gt-gr-father was Thomas YATES . Seeking info on their loyalist links back to Albany, NY, before the Revolutionary War. Went to Fisherville, Quebec, Canada, before returning to states at Lockport area of NY. Seeking info. on children of John Henry YATES of Schenectady (1886-1942) who m. Alethea BLEECKER. Had children: John, Margaret, David, Lucy, Theodora, Sherbrooke, Phoebe, Peter, Christopher.

Looking for information about Zachariah York and his wife Mary Geer/Geers
and their family. Zachariah born abt 1784 near New Paltz, Ulster Co, NY,
and married Mary Geer/Geers abt 1805/1809 in same area. Believed to have
had 16 children according to my 2x-great-grandfather's (Josiah York)
obituary in Ionia, MI newspaper where Josiah died 7 April 1908. Some of
Josiah's siblings were born in Yates Co, NY. Names of Zachariah's parents
unknown at this time. I would appreciate any help/info that anyone can
give me. I would also like to locate the descendents of Zachariah and
Mary York. Please e-mail me if you have any information.
The names of some of the 16 children of Zachariah and Mary York are
believed to have been: Abraham, Zachariah, Phebe Jane, Elias Alen,
Josiah, Rhesa, Louisa Geer, Mary, Mariah, Sabra/Labee, and John. Thanks!

Researching PETER YOUNG, and his wife MARIAH, both born
in NY about 1793. Daughter - JANE or JENNY YOUNG was born
in NY also, 1833. Where in NY is unknown. Anyone working on
this family or have information regarding this family?
A photo of Peter in my possession has written on it -
"OLD CAPTAIN YOUNG".
Daughter JANE YOUNG OR JENNIE married EZRA CHASE TOWNER.
I have much information on this line and willing to share
with those also researching this line.

Searching for the parents of Abraham M. Young, son of a
Hessian/Prussian father and a Scottish mother. He was born
in New York State in 1801 in the Mohawk Valley region.
One of his sons (John) fought and died in the Civil War (1864).
The surname 'Young' may have been 'JUNG' before being anglicized.

Hannah Younglove married John Nelson (b. ca 1718).
The Nelsons were from the South western Vt area.
Another decendent of this couple: Holden Nelson (b. 1822) married
Ruth Johnson and had 5 known children. Known to be in Hebron,
1860 census.
