In 1888 he was living in Cohoes, NY, occupation given as machine builder. His sister Irvine (Ervie) and brother-in-law John Campbell, a stationer, also lived in Cohoes.

Seeking information about the death of Harriet (Collins) CASS, wife of Andrew Jackson CASS, of Reading, NY. Harriet b. 1837 Steuben Co., NY. She is listed with Andrew in the 1870 Federal Census in Reading, then in the 1875 Schuyler Co. census. Andrew is listed as a "widower," so Harriet must have died between 1870-1875. Also, their daughter Minnie CASS seems to have disappeared in that time frame too. Could it have been disease? An accident?

The rest are reported to have been born after the family moved to Knox, Albany Co., although nothing else is known in Stonington of these Chapmans: Erastus, Eldrige, Albert, Daniel, Thaddeus, and Cordelia. My goal is to try to trace Jonas' son, Cyrus CHAPMAN. I believe he relocated to Worcester, Otsego Co., New York, but I need proof.

Elisha b. abt. 1796 in NY d. WI. At the time he wrote his will he had seven children still living. Emeline may or may not be the mother of his children. She left WI after his death and possibly returned to NY to be with other children. If I could even find a county for this family it would help.

They had at least two sons: Edward Philander COLEY b. 23 Oct. 1843, Isaac Newton Wyckoff COLEY b. 23 Oct. 1844 Albany NY. James L. COLEY d. 30 Sep 1901 in Ballston, NY. Isaac Newton Wyckoff COLEY was an administrator for the New York Central Railroad. He married Mary REASONER about 1867. They had at least two children: Louis B. COLEY b. 1868, Adelyn Louise COLEY b. 1874 d. Nov. 1910. Mary REASONER's mother's maiden name was Julia BEACH.
